This is a college preparatory course in the physical science strand and is designed to give a basic understanding
of the composition and chemical properties of matter. The presently accepted theory of the atom is carefully developed through
observations and measurements of known properties of matter in the laboratory. The laboratory is an essential part of the
course. This course is recommended preparation for science/engineering/medical careers.
